With an overview of accurate data you’ll know exactly when a cow is in heat and when to inseminate. Our smart ear sensors measure the heat stage of each individual cow and give you a heads-up when there are fertility issues, making mating season and joining that much easier.
Efficient and Accurate Heat Detection
The system makes it as easy as possible to monitor the fertility of your dairy cows. Cows in heat usually show increased activity and a drop in rumination at the same time. It’s exactly these two factors that our digital fertility monitor is able to monitor with impressive accuracy. Our heat detection device knows exactly when your cattle is in heat; and so will you.
We monitor behaviour like rumination combined with high activity and share alerts like ‘Potential, ‘Suspicious’ and ‘In Heat’. By clicking on a specific alert, you can view the activity graph of an individual cow. Of course, we calculate and refresh all alerts every hour, so you’ll always have the latest information.
CowManager Insemination Window
One of the most unique features of our dairy cow heat detection system is our insemination window. It provides a precise visual of the optimal time of insemination per individual cow. This way, more cows can be successfully inseminated, which results in a higher pregnancy rate and better numbers overall.
It’s also possible to filter out cows that are within the optimal timing of insemination for sexed semen. You won’t have to waste valuable product because you’ll know exactly which cows are ready for insemination.
Aftercare with Fertility Insights
Our Fertility Insights functionality tells you which cows could have potential fertility problems.
Does the system still detect a cow’s heat activity and gives a heat alert after insemination? Then the insemination probably wasn’t successful. When an inseminated cow doesn’t get a heat alert, it’s possible to check her for pregnancy. If the cow is confirmed pregnant, Fertility Insights will monitor the cow for possible abortion.
After calving it’s important to keep an eye on cows without heat alerts; this can indicate possible fertility problems. With Fertility Insights you’ll know everything about every cow’s fertility cycle.
